A traditional quinceanera It is commonly celebrated on the girl's 15th birthday with a mass to renew her baptismal vows and a party to present her to society as the young woman she has become. During the mass, the young woman receives communion by making an act of consecration to the Virgin Mary, gives her her bouquet and receives gifts blessed by the father. After the first gospel the father blesses the traditional objects and makes reference to THE BIBLE and the rosary as symbols of the eternal word of God.
