Para este encuentro se preparaban con un estricto ayuno desde la medianoche hasta el momento de recibir la comuni\u00f3n al d\u00eda siguiente. A trav\u00e9s de este ayuno, las almas de los fieles eran conducidas al ministerio de la presencia real de Cristo en la eucarist\u00eda. Asimismo se evitaba el peligro de un encuentro superficial con Jes\u00fas Sacramentado. Cuando el creyente comienza a encontrarse con Jes\u00fas en la eucarist\u00eda sin prepararse adecuadamente a este encuentro, se pierde la aut\u00e9ntica relaci\u00f3n entre Cristo -que se ha quedado con su pueblo en el pan- y la persona que lo recibe en la comuni\u00f3n.\\n\\nEl hecho de que la virgen sant\u00edsima nos llame a 1 ayuno de dos d\u00edas a la semana, mi\u00e9rcoles y viernes, es en s\u00ed mismo un testimonio de la preparaci\u00f3n al encuentro con Jes\u00fas sacaramentado. El jueves ha sido tradicionalmente un d\u00eda sagrado a la eucarist\u00eda y al sacerdocio. Por eso el ayuno del mi\u00e9rcoles es -desde el punto de vista eucar\u00edstico- una preparaci\u00f3n para el jueves, d\u00eda de la eucarist\u00eda. El ayuno del viernes es en acci\u00f3n de gracias por la eucarist\u00eda y una relaci\u00f3n de la posibilidad de permanecer con Nuestro Se\u00f1or toda una vida.\\nAl prepararse dignamente para el encuentro con Jes\u00fas Sacramento dado a trav\u00e9s del ayuno eucar\u00edstico, el hombre se prepara al banquete eterno en el cielo. A su manera, la eucarist\u00eda es una preparaci\u00f3n y un anticipo del banquete eterno en el reino de Dios.\\nFR. How important was the wait! of the encounter with Jesus for the children who received their first communion! For this meeting they prepared with a strict fast from midnight until the time of receiving communion the next day. Through this fast, the souls of the faithful were led to the ministry of the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Likewise, the danger of a superficial encounter with Jesus Sacramented was avoided. When the believer begins to encounter Jesus in the Eucharist without adequately preparing for this encounter, the authentic relationship between Christ - who has remained with his people in the bread - and the person who receives him in communion is lost.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The fact that the Blessed Virgin calls us to fast two days a week, Wednesday and Friday, is in itself a testimony of the preparation for the encounter with the sacramental Jesus. Thursday has traditionally been a day sacred to the Eucharist and the priesthood. That is why fasting on Wednesday is - from the Eucharistic point of view - a preparation for Thursday, the day of the Eucharist. Fasting on Friday is in thanksgiving for the Eucharist and a relation to the possibility of remaining with Our Lord for a lifetime.<br \/>\nBy preparing worthily for the encounter with Jesus Sacrament given through the Eucharistic fast, man prepares for the eternal banquet in heaven.
