In you, Lord, our lives rest in the holy rest of the night; You prepare us for the dawn and in the Holy Spirit you welcome us.

In remote and distant lands the sun has awakened the cities; Friend of men, see their sorrows and hear the springs of your love.
Victor over death and shadows, eternal son of God, resurrected, free us from the danger of the night as we fall asleep confident in your arms. Amen.
