Dominus Est

The reflections of Bishop A. Schneider on communion in the hand, in his book "Dominus est", are part of a broader context, as he himself explained on January 12, 2012 at the 4th Meeting for Catholic Unity of Paris. In his view, communion in the hand is one of five wounds of the new liturgy that "have been introduced by the practice of a deplorable fashion." While the faithful receives communion in the traditional liturgy, the new usage allows the faithful not only to take communion, but to even serve themselves.
