10 Don Bosco criteria for being human

Don Bosco is a friendly, close, familiar saint. He is a human saint. He knew how to associate love with God and neighbor; prayer with work; action with contemplation. Don Bosco was human and at the same time a follower of the values of Jesus. Holiness, rather than subjecting it to bodily mortifications, for him consisted of being human, that is, being happy, accepting the difficult circumstances of life, working tirelessly, fulfilling one's duty, and having a positive vision of life. He was a realist saint, for him, the most important thing was to do good as best as possible, even if it was not always the most perfect.
