Nine months with María

In this beautiful and poetic work, Luis Erlín proposes a novena, not of nine days, as is our custom, but nine months from the moment of the Annunciation until the Birth of Jesus, every day. Throughout the pages, the author gives voice to the Virgin and invites us to conceive the Lord in the deepest soul, in the Mother of Jesus, who is also the mother of all humanity.

To accompany Mary in her pregnancy is to feel like her, it is to desire to have the profound experience of feeling within ourselves the effects of the transforming presence of God in our being. To accompany Mary is to be able to live hope as a fruit of our faith and our charity. To accompany pregnant Mary is to be able to receive the greatest of all gifts, a true meaning for life, which makes us mature in faith; have confidence in the face of challenges; keep ourselves whole before the cross and never, never be discouraged by the oppression of the enemy.

On each day the author presents a biblical thought to illuminate the reflection, followed by a kind of "diary of pregnant Mary", as if she recounted the days of her pregnancy, her experience, daily. And it ends with an indication to work on our hearts day by day.
