Gustavo E. Jamut, OMV
He was born on November 20, 1959, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano, in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
At just 21 years old, he made his first Spiritual Exercises, with the then Father Jorge Mario Bergoglio (today Pope Francis), who would later become his Bishop in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires.
He was ordained a priest on May 23, 1987, at the Shrine of Santa Rita (Buenos Aires), where he carried out his pastoral work for a year and then dedicated himself to the formation of seminarians in the introductory and postulancy stages. He took spirituality courses in Rome, and carried out pastoral work in various cities.
Until early 2012 he served as local Rector of the Oblate religious community of San Roque. From 1985 to the present he has carried out missions uninterruptedly in the most needy areas of some provinces of Argentina.
